Well, our first year of Upward has come to an end. It has been a great 3 months. Hopefully everyone has had a good time and grown a little closer to our Lord and Savior. All that remains is our Awards Celebration, which will take place on Thursday, March 12th . We will meet at the High School at 6:30 p.m. It is going to be a great night. We have exciting entertainment lined up as well as trophies for all the kids. There will also be door prizes given away. We hope that you are able to come and enjoy the end to a great first season. If you have any ideas that you think might make next year even better, please feel free to let us know. Thank you for letting your child participate in this program, they have been a true blessing to us.

We wanted to take the time to thank some of the people that have helped to keep our first year of Upward basketball and cheerleading running smoothly. We will start with the smallest, yet biggest part of the program..the kids. They have done an outstanding job during games and practices. Without the support of the parents, the kids would never make it to the games or practices. So thank you parents, for allowing your children to participate. We appreciate your patience during these winter months. Hopefully this web page will help to keep the lines of communication open when dealing with wintery weather. We would also like to thank all of the people who stepped up to be coaches and assistant coaches. We truly appreciate all of the time and energy that you all have put into this program. We would like to thank the staff at Lancaster Baptist Church, you have bent over backwards to help us any way that you could. Jim and Kelly Werkmiester are a definate “must have” in the concession stand, you guys are awesome and greatly appreciated. Best nachos in town!! There is also a long list of volunteers who have consistantly shown up on Saturdays to help any way that they can. Nobody works a broom better than John Ball, although Brian Oakes comes in a close second. We were blessed this past weekend with halftime devotions given by Stephen Brogli, Susie Browning,Joe Tuttle, Mac Gay,Hunter Prewitt,Kenny Johnson,Michael York, Jeremy Brogli, April Kirby and Walt Browning. We firmly believe that God is using these halftime testimonies in a mighty way to impact peoples lives. We have between 800 and 1000 people coming through our doors every Sasturday. Our hope is that each one leaves a little closer to God than they were when they came in. We are almost 1/2 way through our first season in Upwards and it has already been a tremendous blessing to all those involved. Keep checking this page for updates and pictures from game days. May God bless you.
